Privacy statement

The DLR Project Management Agency is part of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and takes the protection of your personal data extremely seriously. Therefore, we have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that both we and our external service providers comply with data protection regulations. We only collect and store personal data on our web pages to the technically necessary extent, if you subscribe to a newsletter or register for an event, or if you send us data in connection with a call for proposals.

The following statement provides a full overview of how DLR Project Management Agency ensures your data are protected and which type of data are collected for which purpose.

Data processing on this website

Data are collected and exchanged whenever you visit a website. DLR Project Management Agency automatically collects and stores data that your browser sends to our server. These data include:

  • The type and version of your Internet browser
  • The operating system being used
  • The web page accessed
  • The previously visited website (referrer URL)
  • The time of the server query.

DLR Project Management Agency only analyses data for statistical purposes, to measure the demand for DLR Project Management Agency's online offerings. DLR Project Management Agency has no way of linking these data to any particular person. These data are not combined with any other data sources. IP numbers are recorded for the duration of the visit in order to respond to queries, but not stored once the visit has ended. Data logged when DLR Project Management Agency's website is accessed are only passed to third parties when we are obliged to do so by law or as a result of a court ruling, or if we need to pass them on for the purposes of legal or criminal prosecution in cases where DLR Project Management Agency's Internet infrastructure has been attacked. Under no other circumstances are such data passed on.

Cookies

Session cookies are tiny units of information that a provider saves in the RAM of a visitor's computer. A randomly generated, unique ID number – a so-called session ID – is stored in a session cookie. A cookie also holds information about its origin and the length of time it is stored. These cookies cannot store any other data.

Other providers use persistent cookies so that they can recognise visitors even after a long period of time. This information is then stored as a text file on the hard disc of the visitor's computer. In contrast, the session cookies used by DLR Project Management Agency are deleted when you end the session.

Cookie use can be controlled in all Internet browsers. Most browsers are set up to automatically accept all cookies without asking the user for permission.

Data required for sending our newsletter

If you register to receive the DLR Project Management Agency newsletter, we will store your e-mail address on a server. We will only use this information to send out the newsletter. The records are used for statistical analyses, to assess system performance. We will not pass your details on to any third party, nor will we use them ourselves for any other purpose. You can cancel your newsletter subscription at any time on the corresponding page.

Event registration data

If you send us details via a web page in connection with registering for an event, these data are used only for the event concerned. Such details will only be passed on to a third party if you give your express permission. Your details will not be used for any other purpose.
Collecting data for calls for proposals/announcements
As in all other cases, we treat these details confidentially. Please refer to the text of the announcement concerned for the data protection regulations specifically relating to collecting data for calls for proposals and announcements.

If you send us an e-mail, this e-mail and your e-mail address will only be used to correspond with you.
